| I was chasing a cat through Vecriga singing Latvian folksongs while I ran and was rounding a corner when I pumped into a cop. He proceeded to shove me against the wall and ask me why I was chasing a cat and singing folk songs in public... he then accused me of facist and said he would have me locked up if he saw me doing this again... not sure what this all meant but it had a lasting effect on me... I still chase cats but I make sure not to sing while doing it... |

| I dont know why people like me, for some reason they do, but I dont feel like I give them many reasons to... I like to buy people shots... maybe that it??? |
| What would you suggest to a traveller in order to discover the REAL Riga? |
| Besides staying in The House Hostel, which will give you Access (with my helpful reccomendations) to the unseen Riga... I would strongly suggest the folowing: Give yourself enough time when planning your trip to get out of the city and enjoy Latvijas CLEAN, GREEN, AND PRISTINE countryside. There is nothing better than getting away from it all and soaking up a bit of Latvijas rustic,old world European charm, something that is getting harder and harder to find these days... |
