The population of Riga is split almost 50-50 between ethnically Latvian and Russian people.

When to Visit?
Riga is undoubtedly an all-year destination. During the summer the nearby white-sand beaches are packed with sun-worshipers, whilst during the height of winter Riga resembles the scene on a traditional Christmas card with its cobbled streets, church spires and medieval buildings wrapped in a blanket of pristine snow.
