Located inside the Powder Tower, on Jacob’s Barracks, the Latvian Museum of war chronicles the war mongering antics of the Swedes, Russians, Germans and Poles, amongst the countless invaders and occupiers of this part of the Baltic states. The expositions are free and there are a number of excellent cafes and alternative bars close to the huge front doors of this museum.
