What was the life of an apparatchik or red baron like in the Soviet Union? Your unflinching loyalty to the communist party will unable you to reach the politburo and its numerous priviledges like access to the Jurmala thermal resort. For the occasion you will drive in an old Soviet Volga car along the various Soviet historial landmarks in Latvia

With the Riga Out there, special will take you to this very special tour where you will be able to visit various sites. Among others, a visit of Soviet Riga which include a visit to the Academy of Sciences, this Soviet edifice is cousin to many in Eastern Europe and local nicknames for the Empire State building include ”Stalin’s birthday cake” or the ”Kremlin”. The tour will move on to the Occupation museum and Latvian Riflemen monument dedicated to Red Latvian Riflemen, some of whom became Lenin's bodyguards. A visit to the KGB building in Riga (from outside only as it is now a police station). Also, the guide will take you to victory park, where the Soviet war memorial commemorates the communist "liberation" of Riga.

Riga Out There will provide you with a guided tour of Riga with the Soviet historical landmarks, and the visit to the Ligatne Bunker meant to shelter high ranking communist members and red army general in case of nuclear attack. Ligatne bunker is one hour drive from the center of Riga. What was five year plan and collectivisation meant? a visit to one of the Kholkoze farms, the pride of the Soviet Union collectivisation of agriculture will tell you how the Soviet economy was managed and why socialism ultimately collapsed. At the end of the tour, you will be awarded the much praised decoration, the order of Lenin.
